Internet traffic in Djibouti quadrupled over the last year

A pivotal partnership between Wingu Africa and AMS-IX, one of the world’s largest Internet Exchanges, has significantly enhanced the ability of the Djibouti Internet Exchange (DjIX) to meet a fourfold increase in peak traffic over the past year. Following the partnership, DjIX will be known as AMS-IX Djibouti.

The growth of peak traffic – currently four times that of a year ago - at Africa’s premier Internet Exchange is attributed to the recent increase in traffic by several content delivery networks located at AMS-IX Djibouti.
