AWASR, Alliance Networks, and AMS-IX have officially launched Oman-IX, a transformative internet exchange point set to revolutionize digital infrastructure in the Middle East and beyond.

The Launch of Oman-IX aims to transform digital infrastructure services in the region by establishing a neutral internet exchange and interconnecting leading telecom industry networks providers, hyper scale data centers, and cloud services across the Middle East and beyond. Oman-IX, powered by AMS-IX, has been deployed at Equinix's neutral carrier data center, MC1, in Muscat.
The launch of Oman-IX signifies a significant milestone in Oman's digital transformation journey, with Oman-IX serving as a hub for aggregating internet traffic from local and global networks. This partnership underscores the companies' commitment to revolutionize communication and digital infrastructure in the Middle East region and beyond. Through this mutually beneficial partnership, AWASR, AMS-IX, and Alliance Networks will work together to develop a robust digital ecosystem and infrastructure services, leveraging the expertise of Alliance Networks and AWASR in the region.
Eugen Comandant, AWASR's Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his anticipation for the official launch, remarking, "We are delighted to officially launch Oman-IX in collaboration with Alliance Networks and AMS-IX.
