Dutch Metropolitan Innovations Ecosystem (DMI)
AMS-IX entered the Dutch Metropolitan Innovations Ecosystem (DMI), in a project together with KPMG, UvA and Surf, to build an infrastructure for secure, compliant, and scalable data sharing. The Dutch Metropolitan Innovations (DMI) ecosystem provides the domains of mobility, public space and housing with new tools from the digital world. DMI is being made possible by the National Growth Fund.
Within the DMI ecosystem, AMS-IX together with its partners will focus on creating a secure method of data sharing, whilst ensuring the quality and compliance of data shared and further operationalize the AMdEX standard for data sharing.
The solution will address the following:
Secure data sharing Creating a secure data sharing infrastructure, keeping data with the original data source, thus ensuring security and governance.
Compliance All data shared will be automatically screened on active data sharing contracts between involved parties, plus all applicable rules and regulations such as GDPR.
Data market places market places with useable data solutions originating from several resources.
The data sharing solution by AMS-IX and partners under the DMI project is aimed at enabling parties within DMI to share data under their own conditions and offers market places the option for different data sharing contracts. Also, it enables data to be used from resources that were otherwise not accessible, all for the good of Dutch Metropolitan Innovations.

2STiC (pronounced "to-stick") is a joint research program which stands for Security, Stability and Transparency in inter-network Communication. 2STiC's goal is to develop and evaluate mechanisms for increasing the security, stability and transparency of internet communications, for instance by experimenting with and contributing to emerging internet architectures, such as SCION, RINA, and NDN, as well as the existing (IP-based) Internet.
The 2STiC partners envisage that such new types of internet will complement and co-exist with the current Internet, serving specific types of application. The long-term objective of the program is to establish a centre of expertise in the field of trusted and resilient internets and help put the Dutch (and European) networking communities in a leading position in the field.
Partners
NLnet Labs, SIDN Labs, SURFnet, TU Delft, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Twente and AMS-IX
